Cobweb Spiderwort (Tradescantia sillamontana) is a great groundcover in sun or shade. Spreading slowly with thick, finger-like roots, it forms an attractive mat of white cobweb-covered leaves. In mid-summer, it suddenly comes into bloom with a month-long display of bright pink flowers. A rare plant native to the Sierra Madre mountains of northeastern Mexico.
